Southern Life

I found a friend on facebook a year or so ago and since then we’ve developed a bit of a relationship.  Patricia Neely-Dorsey is a true Poet, speaker, positive advocate for Mississippi and great personality.  I asked her to be my Guest on here in allowing me to share a few of her Poems.  Please read, enjoy and share, but most of all contact her for her books, 2 printed at this time with 1 in the works.

A Princess is A Princess and A Prince is A Prince

Jan D'Antoni reading A Princess is....
My sweet friend Jan D’Antoni treated our ladies group with a wonderful Tea Party with the most delectable corn & crab chowder and our tea or coffee in this beautiful setting.  She followed the treat up with the reading of a poem from her heart for her own children.  Lovely!  The moment was so precious, a great gift from her heart to ours.  Enjoy!
A Princess is A Princess and A Prince is A Prince

You sing without instruction
You strum without a teacher
A princess is a princess and

A prince is a prince.

You do not beg
Though you have none
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince.
Your head held high and
Stature strong
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince.
You give orders to friends
They will obey
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince
Your hands reach out
Are kind to some
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince
Your anger burns
When the innocent is harmed
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince
You have a passion to save
No matter the cost
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince
Vision and wisdom stalk you
Whether wanted
A princess is a princess and
A prince is a prince
Listen…
Oh, princess and prince to these words of Mine.
Do not despise the gift I give
Though different from others you will always be
Though more pain, more suffering you will shoulder
You have been chosen by Me
To lead My flock
To gather them up
To bring them back
A daughter and a son
You are
